Freshly Roasted Coffee & Tea Returns (Perishable Goods)

At Finest Coffee & Finest Tea, we specialise in freshly roasted coffee beans, ground-to-order coffee, and premium loose leaf teas. Because our products are food items and prepared to order, our returns policy reflects UK consumer law for perishable and customised goods.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the right to cancel does not apply to:

  • Perishable goods

  • Goods made to the customer’s specification

  • Sealed goods that are unsealed after delivery and unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons

For this reason, we cannot accept returns of coffee or tea once dispatched unless the item is:

  • Faulty

  • Damaged in transit

  • Incorrect

We are unable to offer refunds based on taste preference.


Damaged in Transit

We take great care in packaging your order. However, if your coffee or tea arrives damaged:

  1. Please take clear photographs of:

    • The outer packaging

    • The damaged product

  2. Email the photos to [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery

  3. Include your order number in your message

This helps us resolve the issue quickly and make a claim with our delivery partner.

Once reviewed, we will arrange either:

  • A replacement, or

  • A full refund (including delivery charges where applicable)


Faulty or Incorrect Items

If you receive the wrong product or believe your item is faulty:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery

  • Provide your order number and photographs where relevant

We will arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.


Order Cancellations & Amendments

Because our coffee is freshly roasted and prepared quickly after ordering:

  • Orders can only be cancelled if they have not yet entered production.

  • Please contact us immediately if you need to amend your order.

Once roasting, blending, or packing has begun, cancellations are no longer possible.


Non-Perishable Accessories (If Applicable)

If you purchase non-food items such as coffee accessories or merchandise, you may return unused items within 14 days of delivery, provided:

  • The item is unused

  • In original packaging

  • In resaleable condition

Return postage costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the item is faulty.


Refund Processing Times

Approved refunds are processed within 5–7 working days to your original payment method.
